Kathleen P Lenz, 84, of Southington, wife of William P Lenz passed away on December 1, 2016 surrounded by her family. Kay, as her family called her, was born November 28, 1932 to Irish immigrant parents, William and Delia (McHugh) Thomas in Hartford, CT. She was a 1951 graduate of William H Hall High School of West Hartford CT. She retired from New Britain General Hospital in 1987 where she worked for many years. Later Kay worked for the Southington Board of Education as a Lunch Aide at DePaolo Jr High School.
Besides her husband she is survived by her 3 children Michael Lenz of East Bend NC, Thomas Lenz and Dee Krom of Prospect CT, and Nancy Lenz of Southington CT; 4 grandsons Joseph Lenz of Colorado Springs, CO, David Lenz of Vernon CT, Andrew Croxton of Norwich CT, and Alexander Croxton of New York NY; and 7 great grandchildren. She also leaves her 2 sisters Helen Thomas of Southington CT and Margaret Burgess of Middletown CT and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sister, Mary Cifaldi.
There will be no calling hours. Gravesides services are/were on Friday, December 9th at Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford.
