Elizabeth (Drogosek) Coppola, 87, of Plantsville, loving wife of the late Louis Coppola, passed away peacefully on Saturday (December 17, 2016) at the Alzheimer’s Resource Center in Plantsville.

She was born in Plantsville on July 7, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Lach) Drogosek.

Her working life was spent at various local businesses, starting at Allied Control where she met her future husband and lastly at the Aqua Turf Club where she enjoyed working with “the girls.” She loved cooking and baking, maintaining her home and garden, and admiring the cardinals and blue jays which were constant visitors to her yard. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, for her hard work, for her witty sense of humor, and for the many acts of kindness that she shared with all of us.

She is survived by her son Corey and his partner John, both of Plantsville, and by her dear sister Ann Roberts of Harwinton, as well as by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers John, Andrew, Michael Jr., and Joseph.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Alzheimer’s Resource Center who were not only her caregivers but her second family and requests that in lieu of flowers a donation can be made in her name to the Center at 1261 S. Main St, Plantsville 06479.

A funeral mass for both Elizabeth and Louis will be celebrated at the Immaculate Conception Church, 130 Summer St., Plantsville at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 23rd, followed by burial at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., is assisting in arrangements. For online condolences, visit www.dellavecchiafh.com
