Ralph F. Ingriselli, 95, of Plantsville, died on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016.
Ralph F. Ingriselli, 95, of Plantsville section, passed away Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016 at the Southington Care Center surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Theresa (Vitelli) Ingriselli.
He was born Nov. 5, 1920 in Southington, the son of the late Frank and Catherine (LaPorta) Ingriselli. He had retired from Pratt & Whitney and was a Corporal in the U.S. Army serving with the 123rd Medical Unit in England as a medic. He had also worked at Jimmy’s Candy shop, the Colonial Theater, and Castaldi Hardware and Floor Care and started his own business of floor covering until 1963. He also worked as a bartender at Phil’s Restaurant and later continued bartending at the Aqua Turf until the age of 83. Ralph took great pride in remembering people’s drinks. He volunteered at blood drives for the Red Cross and at local elections. For 70 years Ralph was a member of the American Legion Kiltonic Post #72. He was a parishioner and usher at Mary Our Queen Church. He enjoyed playing golf in his retirement and in his early years cherished playing the mandolin in a band with his brother Marco.
He is survived by his children, Ralph V. Ingriselli, CPA and his wife Christine of Cheshire, Susan C. Caron of FL and Diane I. McLeod of CA, his grandchildren Angela Andrade and husband Michael, Jason Ingriselli, Lucy McLeod and Nicholas Caron , his great grandchildren Nathan and Hannah Andrade. He also leaves his brothers and sisters, Francis Ingriselli and his wife Monica, Alfred Ingriselli and his wife Rita and Florence DeFeo all of Southington, his sister-in-law Mary Ingriselli of Southington and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Concetta “Minnie” Carlone and Marie Ingriselli, his brother Marco Ingriselli and his brother-in-law Biaggio DeFeo.
Ralph’s family would like to thank the staff at Mulberry Gardens and Southington Care Center for their care, kindness and support.
Funeral services were held at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home in Southington. The Funeral was held at Mary Our Queen Church in Plantsville. Burial with military honors was held at St. Thomas Cemetery in Southington.
