Kenneth W. Krystofolski, 80, of Southington, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017 at the Summit at Plantsville after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Alta ( Papineau) Krystofolski.
He was born in New Haven on April 23, 1937, the son of the late Vincent and Stella (Krystofolski) Clements. Ken‘s grandparents Stanley and Stachia Krystofolski helped raise him as a child. He served with the US Air Force. Prior to his retirement he was an engineer at Fansteel Corp. in Southington for many years. Ken was an innovative engineer as well as a mentor and friend to all at Fansteel. Ken was an avid fan of the UCONN Huskies and he loved to travel.
In addition to his wife Alta, he is survived by his children Scott and Carla Krystofolski of Plainville and Arlene and David Dubois of Plantsville, 3 grandchildren Amber, David Jr. and Brandon, 2 great-grandchildren Shannon and Myles. He also leaves brothers Vincent and Sue Clements and Peter and Sue Clements and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother Paul Clements and several aunts and uncles.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff at the Summit in Plantsville for the years of love, care and compassion.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017 at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St. Plantsville. Burial will be at South End Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Friday morning at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. from 8:30-10:30 am.
