Tirzah Eleanna Lardie, 54, died on Jan. 29, 2016.

Tirzah Eleanna Lardie (née Gogolski), of Beacon Falls, CT, passed away Friday, January 29, 2016, age 54, at Griffin Memorial Hospital, Derby CT, from complications after a long illness.  She was born on January 6, 1962, the daughter of late Lillian V. Gogolski (née Elnitsky) and late John H. Gogolski.  She is survived by her four children: Raisa “Ray” E. Lardie, of Watertown, MA; Nicole L. A. Lardie, of Osaka, Japan; and Natasha L. and Jonathan T. Lardie, both living with their father, Tirzah’s former husband, James “Rick” Lardie, of Southington, CT.  Tirzah is also survived by her sisters, Alicia West and her husband, Marshall West, of Palmetto, FL; and Jackie Marques and her husband, Jules Marques, of North Myrtle Beach, SC.  In addition, Tirzah is survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.

Tirzah graduated from Naugatuck H.S. in 1980 and attended Western Connecticut State University.  She worked in banking at the former Village Bank & Trust of Ridgefield, CT, as well as in the Computer Operation department at St. Mary’s Hospital, in Waterbury.  After the birth of Nicole, Tirzah decided to become a stay-at-home mother and day-care provider. She served on the Thalberg, E.S. PTA, and helped in and organize Farmington Bank’s participation in the Southington Relay of Life.  Later when the children were older, she re-entered banking at Farmington Bank in Southington. She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, needlepoint, arts, crafts and teaching her children how to bake and sew.  Before her struggles with alcoholism, Tirzah was seen as a second mother by many of her children’s friends and her day-care. She was and is loved dearly, and will be missed greatly, as her struggles with addiction robbed us of her presence too soon.

Her family requests that those who have been affected by a relative or friend’s drinking to please seek support through therapy, or to contact your local chapter of Al-Anon or Adult Children of Alcoholics.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts on her behalf can be made to the Southington CT Bread for Life, the American Diabetes Association, or the American Cancer Society’s Southington Relay for Life.”  A memorial service for  Tirzah is planned this summer.

Randy was born in Bristol on October 8, 1953, to Severino Artibani and Priscilla (Brackett) Artibani of Plainville. He is survived by his wife, Sarah; daughter, Shaylene Krupinski and son-in-law Michael Krupinski of Southington; son, Brandon Artibani and his fiancée Shannon Strachel of Plainville; two grandchildren, Bryce and Madelyn Krupinski; and five neices and nephews: Megan and Christopher Theroux, Timothy Coombs, Jessica Kasica, and Amanda Coombs.

Randy’s life can be summarized by two words: hard work. His life was dedicated to building his business, Raym-Co, Inc. in Farmington from a barn, to a 10,000 square foot facility in Bristol, to the now 37,000 square foot facility. He was proud of his accomplishments, but never stopped working to be better. He cared deeply about his employees and felt the responsibility of having their livelihoods entwined with his.

Randy dedicated his life to making sure that those he loved were taken care of. From the time he was 10 years old he took it upon himself to make sure that those he cared for had everything they needed. At one point, he volunteered his time as President of The Silver City Quarter Midget Club of Meriden in order to give back to the kids who raced and who he loved to mentor and help grow. He made many dear and lifelong friends throughout all of those years of racing.

The driving force behind all of the hard work for Randy was his family and the close friends who have become family. He was a fiercely loyal man who would get up in the middle of the night to fix a furnace, spend a day crushing grapes with a close friend, or plow a driveway for someone in need. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and will miss their buddy, “Pa”, who took them to school, and who was using his years of race experience to help his little buddy Bryce put together a Pinewood Derby car.

Randy spent these last few months happily helping his son Brandon plan his upcoming wedding, working on his backyard, and spending time with his high school sweetheart and loving wife Sarah. Perhaps the greatest time of his life was spent this past summer in his backyard with the pool that he worked so hard to put in for his family. Surrounded by friends, family, and wine is where Randy was most happy.

Randy’s service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville (Bristol) with Rev. Dr. Robert Sorozan, Pastor of the Prospect United Methodist Church officiating.  Committal services and interment will follow in Forestville Cemetery.  Calling hours will be held on Friday between 5 and 7 pm at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the American Heart Assoc., P.O. Box 417005 Boston, MA. 02241-7005. To leave an online message of condolence or to share a memory or photo, please visit Randy’s memorial page at www.OBREIN-FUNERALHOME.com.
