Christopher Philip Darling, 67, of Southington passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at the HCC at New Britain General after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was the loving husband of Jayne (LeHerissier) Darling.
Born September 23, 1948 in New Britain, Chris was the son of Philip T. Darling of South Carolina and the late Elsa (Rinas) Darling. He attended Southington schools and was a graduate of CCSU.
Christopher retired from Colt’s Manufacturing after 37 years of service. He was an avid golfer and an American Civil War history buff. He was a devoted fan of the New York Giants and New York Yankees.
In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by two daughters, Alisa Darling, MD and Erin Darling both of Southington and a sister Wendie Donahue of Virginia as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews..
A memorial service will be held at the Zion Lutheran Church, 521 Woodruff St., Southington on Thursday June 16 at 11 a.m. Burial will be at South End Cemetery. Memorial calling hours will be Wednesday June 15 , from 6-8 p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington.
