Lorraine (Mongillo) DeBishop, 84, of Southington, passed away Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at the Southington Care Center. She was the wife of Richard A. DeBishop for 65 years.
She was born Aug. 15, 1932, in Southington, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Anna (Kroll) Mongillo.
Besides her husband she is survived by her children, Keith DeBishop of Bristol, Jeff DeBishop (and wife Trisha) and Lynne Marie DeBishop and grandchildren Joel and Taylor DeBishop, all of Southington. She also leaves a brother Robert Mongillo and sister MaryAnn Stevens (and husband Ferris) all of Southington and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Benjamin Mongillo, Jr.
Lorraine was a terrific singer and enjoyed music, especially Dixieland jazz, and she had a flair for decorating, especially at Christmas time. She loved to travel and enjoyed being with her son Keith at Ocean Isle Beach in North Carolina.
Calling hours will be Friday from 6-8 pm. The funeral will be held Saturday, 11 am at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery.
