Obituary: Mildred Ann (Donnelly) Borovsky, 91

Mildred Ann (Donnelly) Borovsky, a lifelong Bristol and Southington resident passed away at her home on December 4, 2016 at the age of 91.

Mildred was born in Bristol on April 12, 1925 and was a daughter of the John and Catherine (Rowntree) Donnelly. She grew up in the Federal Hill section of Bristol where she attended St Joseph School. She graduated Bristol High School in 1943 and attended class reunions for 70 years. She worked at New Departure in Bristol until devoting her life to being a fulltime mother and loving wife. She was an owner of UltraRadio.com and volunteered at Southington Care Center for 17 years.

She loved people and will be remembered for her beautiful smile and sense of humor. She enjoyed music, the beach, spending holiday dinners with her sister Maureen Sonstrom, Dan and Teresa Sonstrom and family, and spending time with her niece Deb (Donnelly) Hemphill and husband Tom.

Mildred is survived by two sons: Randy Borovsky and Jim Borovsky; a sister Maureen Sonstrom; two grandchildren: Rebecca Borovsky and David Borovsky; a sister-in-law Vivian Borovsky; her friends including Lorraine Stanton and Valery Feskanin; Special people in her life include Nancy (Kisarewich) Chant; her god-daughter; Holly (Kisarewich) Singer; Penney Borovsky, Christine Dillinger, John Aligata, Dr. Bill Welch, and Janet Judd many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews.

She was predeceased by her sisters Kathryn Casey, Jean Kisarewich; brothers Francis Donnelly, and John Donnelly.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 10 AM from the Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave. Bristol, to St. Joseph Church, 149 Goodwin St., Bristol, at 11 AM. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday between 5 and 8 PM.
