Zigmunt “Jim” Meleski, 88, of Southington, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at the Summit of
Plantsville. He was the husband for 61 years to Helen (Kuczynski) Meleski.
Jim was born in Southington on January 12, 1928, the son of the late Anthony and Frances (Galus) Meleski. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. Prior to his retirement he was employed by GE in Plainville for 37 years. He was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter Kathleen and husband John Lee of Southington, a son Dr. Steven Meleski and his fiancée Amy Tittarelli of Berlin and 5 grandchildren Alyssa (Meleski) Franzen, Leah, Kyle and Kara Meleski and Andrew Lee.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 12, 2016 at 9:15 am from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to Immaculate Conception Church at 10 am for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be with military honors at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
