Robert Raymond Urcinas Sr., 75, of Southington, died on April 4, 2016.
Robert Raymond Urcinas Sr., 75, of Southington, passed away on April 4, 2016 at The Hospital of Central Ct. Bradley Campus. He was the husband of the late Patricia (Guild) Urcinas.
Bob was born on March 2, 1941 in Waterbury, and was the son of the late Justin and Grace (Peckionis) Urcinas. He was employed by Hamilton Standard in Farmington prior to his retirement. Bob loved gardening and picking mushrooms. He was also a former member of the Naugatuck Elks Lodge.
Bob is survived by his 5 children Robin Ann Backofen and her husband Timothy of Plainfield, Justine LaFemina of Moodus, Heather McNamara and husband Kevin, Christine Berkmoes and husband Nathan and Robert Urcinas Jr. all of Southington, 15 grandchildren, his brother Chet Urcinas and his wife Jeanne of Orlando, FL, his sister Patricia Tronetta and her partner David Bavone of Goshen and two nephews.
Along with his family he enjoyed being with his dogs Buddy and Lexter. A memorial service to honor his life will be held on Sunday April 10 at 3pm at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. in Southington. Visitation will be from 1pm until the time of the service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
