Cheryl (Dahlgren) LaFrance, 52, passed away on Nov. 13, 2016 after a year-long courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her family at home in Caribou, Maine. She was born on Sept. 2, 1964 in New Britain, the daughter of Ronald and Barbara (DiNardo) Dahlgren.

She graduated from Southington High School in 1982. Before moving to Maine, she was a hairdresser in Southington. She moved to Maine in 1994 and worked at the Northeastland Hotel as a banquet coordinator. She also worked for the Caribou Chamber of Commerce as membership coordinator. For the past 13 years, she worked at Channel X radio and was most famous for her morning radio show. Cheryl’s fondest memories were spending time with the “light of her life,” her grandson, Gage, and any moment she could, she enjoyed being at the beach and in the sun.

Cheryl is survived by her mother, Barbara (DiNardo) Dahlgren of Southington; her daughter, Brittney (LaFrance) White and her husband Loren; her grandson, Gage White of Maine; her sister, Ann Cote and her husband Kevin of Rhode Island; her nephews, Christopher and Zachary Cote; and her longtime companion, Brian Violette of Maine.

She was predeceased by her father, Ronald Dahlgren.

There was a Mass of Christian Burial on Nov. 25 at St. Thomas Church in Southington. Burial was at St. Joseph Cemetery on Farmington Avenue in Plainville.

Memorial donations may be made to Sarah’s House, 346 Main Rd., Holden, ME 04429.
