Gary Graziano, 76, of Plantsville, passed away after a 14 year battle with Parkinson’s disease, on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Betsey (McCabe) Graziano for 53 years.
Born Dec. 8, 1939 in New Britain, Gary was the son of the late Edward and Alice (Neri) Graziano. He was employed at Stanley Works, Superior Electric and Lori Lock and was a member of the Kensington Congregational Church. Gary loved gardening, playing cards, watching his grandchildren’s athletic events and playing for and coaching the Manor Inn softball team for over 40 years.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Michael Graziano of Manhattan, NYC, Amy Sarantides and husband James of Southington, Alison Rapoza and husband Ernest of Somerset, MA and Jeffrey Graziano of Berlin. He also leaves his grandchildren, Kylie, Brenna, Andrew, Olivia, Vanessa and Jared. He leaves a sister Alicia Woodruff of Kensington, a niece Carolyn Dulac of Coventry and a nephew David Woodruff of Kensington. He was predeceased by a brother Edward Graziano.
The Funeral will be held Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016 at 10 am at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014.
